Signs that the apocolypse is upon us…
It’s the day before Fitchburg and I still have not cleaned my bikes.
I swam 3 days in a row last week - two of those days were lessons and one was 1.5miles in Lake Winnipesaukee
My parents are on vacation in another state, in another time zone, and got there by airplane.
I am on permanent summer vacation and still feel the need to get up at 5am to train.
*I bought a new pair of cycling shoes that are not Sidis. These are were for triathlon; yes, I use mtn bike shoes for triathlon. There’s a method to my madness, trust me. All those trigeeks who insist on using tri shoes and attaching them to their pedals got nothing on me. I run out of transition, hop onto my bike cross style and am promptly on my way. I never, ever get passed by anyone on the bike. That may have something to do with the fact that I am usually the last one out of the water…but let’s forget about that for now.
*it appears that I cannot wear Pearl Izumi shoes. I should know better. In 10 years I have only worn Sidi shoes because Sidi is the only company that makes shoes narrow enough for my feet. I even had custom Rocket 7 shoes made for me, and THOSE were too wide. My feet, at their widest point, are only 3″ across. Anyone want to buy a pair of brand new PI mtn bike shoes?

Some say the devil is in the details. I say it’s in your $8 venti, terraza blend, non-fat, half-caf, double shot, vanilla, iced latte.
Why, I guess you are right:
